AFRICAN YOUTH AND AFRICAN
VALUES 8 - 11 July 2002 organised
by International Society for Human Values - African
Chapter Accra, Ghana
| |
The African Chapter of the International
Society for Human Values organized an African Regional
Conference on Youth and Human Values in Accra, Ghana, from 8
to 11 July 2002. The venue for the conference was the campus
of the University of Ghana, Legon. The aim of the conference
was two-fold: (i) to help the youth of Africa to appreciate
the relevance of human values for their own personal
development and when they assume leadership role in the
future; and (ii) to articulate the African perspective on the
theme the conference. The conference, it must be mentioned,
was preparatory to the international conference on the same
theme to be held in Geneva, Switzerland, from 8 to 11 October
2002. |
